Norfolk BCC
Norfolk Area BCC information
This is the home page of Norfolk Area of the British Caravanners club. We are one of the areas that make up the British Caravanners Club which is a section of the Camping and Caravanning Club. We hold regular rallies throughout the year and welcome all members of the BCC, as well as, from all sections of the Camping and Caravanning Club.
As well as this website, we have a Facebook page here.
If you wish to join the BCC it is only £6, for which you receive a full programme of every BCC Area’s Meets.
Stewards – We are still currently looking for some Stewards to come forward to run a couple of meets this year. If you have wondered about Stewarding, but not sure what is involved, please either give myself Steve, Norfolk Area Sites Officer, a call on 07918 687364 and have a chat or ask any Committee Member for more information.
As a Steward, yes there is a small amount of work involved. Most meets start on a Thursday; however, Stewards normally arrive on site on the Wednesday to mark out the pitches, put up direction Signage and any other Signage for Elsan & Water Taps etc. There are a couple of meet kits which Stewards need to obtain one of from a previous meet to use. There are also the Brew Bags for Coffee Morning on the Sunday. Inside the Meet Kit & Brew Bags is everything you will need, including the Meet Sheet to book Members in on as they arrive, and to collect the Site Fees, along with pitching. Training or Shadowing of more experienced Stewards is readily available if you would like to take advantage of that help for you to understand what’s involved. We do not expect anyone to Steward without some form of training. What do you get in return for Stewarding? You get a FREE WEEKEND by not paying any Site Fees for that meet. If you decide to run a programme of Events for that meet that is up to you, some meets particularly Early & Late Season will have Halls available. Whilst we can arrange meets, we are not able to run those meets if no one comes forward to help run the meets. The last thing I want to do is sadly have to cancel a meet due to the lack of Stewards.
